On the Swiss e-ID/swiyu trust infrastructure

Authorisations.
Made verifiable.

Provara is the Swiss B2B platform with which organisations issue signing powers and authorisations as cryptographically signed credentials, have them verified in seconds and revoke them instantly at any time.

The difference

Provara does not answer the identity question, but the authorisation question — verifiable, time-limited and revocable at any time.

Not the question

“Is Mr Müller really Mr Müller?”

But rather

“May Mr Müller sign a contract of up to CHF 50’000 on behalf of Helvetia Treuhand AG?”

A controlled lifecycle

From issuance through verification to instant revocation — every authorisation stays under your control.

01

Issue

Choose the credential type, capture the details, set the validity. Provara generates a cryptographically signed credential (SD-JWT VC), a QR code and a public verification link.

02

Present

The authorised person presents the credential as a card, QR code or link — data-minimised and limited to the details required.

03

Verify and revoke

Any party verifies in seconds, without an account. You retain control and revoke at any time — verification detects the revocation immediately.

On the Swiss trust infrastructure

Trust you can prove technically.

No photocopy, no PDF — cryptographically signed credentials based on open standards that every party can verify independently.

Verifiable credentials

SD-JWT VC (ES256) on the swiyu infrastructure — verifiable in the government wallet, not merely as a document.

Instant revocation

IETF Token Status List: verification always checks both signature and status. A revocation takes effect immediately.

Data-minimised by design

Only what is necessary appears publicly — no internal identifiers, no full claims, IP addresses hashed exclusively.

API and Webhooks

Machine-to-machine issuance via API key; signed Webhooks with a transactional Outbox for your systems.

e-ID sign-in

Sign in with the government Swiss e-ID, as well as generic enterprise SSO via OpenID Connect (Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, Okta) with just-in-time provisioning — with multi-factor authentication and step-up re-authentication.

Audit-proof audit log

Hash-chained and append-only — every issuance, verification and revocation documented tamper-proof.

Service provider & e-ID roster

Issue credentials to a roster of e-ID-verified persons and share authorised persons across linked organisations.

Embeddable verification pages

Embeddable verification badges and pages that partners can place on their own domain.

ZEFIX organisation check

Organisations are verified against the Swiss commercial register (ZEFIX); ZEFIX-sourced master data (legal name, UID, address) is locked from manual edits.

Qualified electronic signature (QES)

Optional qualified e-signature per ZertES for legally binding signing.

Authorisations that matter in your business

Nine ready-to-use credential types — or model your own.

Who may sign legally binding commitments for the organisation, and up to what amount?

Power of attorney

Trustee and representation mandates — granted, time-limited and revocable at any time.

Access and safety credentials for people on the construction site, including short-lived ones.

Supplier approval

Verifiable compliance status of suppliers — delivered straight into your ERP via webhook.

Project role

Temporary roles and signing rights that automatically expire with the project.

A digital employee badge as a verifiable proof of employment.

Membership card

Membership credential for associations and chambers — verifiable and revocable at any time.

Training certificate

Proof of completed training and certifications, such as safety courses, with an expiry date.

A general access pass for sites and events, including short-lived ones.

Frequently asked questions

What does Provara cost during the beta?

Nothing. Once your organisation is granted a place, the full product is available to you free of charge — no credit card and no automatic renewal.

How long until it is my turn?

That depends on how many places are free. We release them gradually so that we can guide every organisation through setup in person. You will hear from us as soon as it is your turn.

What happens to my data after the beta?

Your organisation, the credentials you have issued and your configuration all remain intact. At general availability we will tell you about the plans; you decide then whether to continue.

Are credentials issued during the beta real?

Yes. Even in beta, Provara issues cryptographically signed credentials (SD-JWT VC) on the e-ID/swiyu trust infrastructure. They can be verified via QR code, verification link and embed badge.

When will you publish pricing?

At general availability. While we are still developing the product together with our beta organisations, a price list would only be a snapshot.

Make authorisations verifiable.

Set up in minutes — we take care of the connection to the swiyu infrastructure. Provara is in closed beta: join the waitlist and we will be in touch as soon as a place opens up.

What leaves Switzerland

Your details are sent to our CRM (Zoho, EU data centre), and Google reCAPTCHA checks this form to prevent abuse. We measure reach with Umami: no cookies, no personal data, no profiling. These three services run outside Switzerland. The Provara platform itself — credentials, verifications, organisation data — processes and stores all data in Switzerland.
